Surf’s Up is this new movie from one of those studios that does animated movies. Like Disney, or maybe Dreamworks, and I think there’s one other one. This is a movie about penguins, but it isn’t the one that was out earlier, but it’s probably related. And it’s not the one before that one, because that one wasn’t animated, I’m pretty sure.

Anyways, in this one the penguins are surfing. There’s a few of them, and they’re friends, and they love to surf. They say stuff like “Cowabunga!” and “Hang 10!” only instead of saying “Hang 10″ they say something else because it’s a joke about how they don’t have toes. Come to think of it, maybe they do have toes.
 
But so they are all funny and cool dudes. And don’t worry about it being too much of a kiddie movie, parents, because there are some jokes that are for you, like about some 80s band, or maybe Paris Hilton. There’s a voice cameo by like Robert DeNiro, and the penguin even looks like him! Also there are some fart jokes.
 
So everything’s all sweet, until something jeopardizes their surfing, like global warming, or something else that is people’s fault. So then it gets all kind of serious. I don’t want to ruin how it ends for you, but suffice to say you’ll be leaving the theater on a high note, and the guy everyone thought was no use turns out to be really instrumental, and then there’s a song by Sting or Randy Newman.
 
It’s pretty fucking awful.
