Horton Hears A Who!
I hate Dr. Seuss books.
But I have to hand it to Audrey Geisel, the dude’s widow. She wouldn’t let Hollywood mess with his books — you know, by adding all sorts of stuff that wasn’t originally in them — until they got it absolutely perfect.
But we’re not here to talk about How The Grinch Stole Christmas and The Cat In The Hat. We’re here to talk about the new one.
Fortunately, Horton Hears A Who! also fixes everything that is wrong with Dr. Seuss books– namely:
1. They don’t have enough famous people in them
2. They don’t run an hour and a half
3. And where is Jim Carrey
Lastly, I just want to add that it’s heartwarming to see that Ms. Geisel was an Executive Producer on this movie. Now I know I’m not the only person who hates Dr. Seuss books.

Dr. Seuss did come up with one of my favorite quotes:
Say what you mean and act how you feel,
because those who matter don’t mind,
and those who mind don’t matter.
Though he might have stolen it from someone…
