Battle For Haditha
It’s a fact of life. When a movie does well, you can bet there is going to be a sequel.
And when a fantasy movie gets a sequel, you can usually count on it to get a little darker in an attempt to add some weight to the franchise. This can either be successful (The Empire Strikes Back), horrendous (The Matrix Reloaded), or I’m not sure if I saw it (Spider-Man 2).
In my opinion, The Battle For Haditha takes the usual attempt at gravitas too far. It’s alternately graphically violent and crushingly boring, and unfortunately I just can’t recommend it to children, no matter how much they loved Bridge To Haditha.
